    @michaelw436: Spammer.

    Anyway, the Woot! deal today is actually a great one. Thanks for posting, got a iPod dock and 5-port USB hub for $20, shipped.

    The link to the free Spiderman 3 screening takes a while to load, it’s only in select cities, you only get free continental breakfast, and you have to sit through a presentation by the company that’s giving away the tickets. It’s not worth the hassle to save a few bucks on a movie ticket that comes out on the same day.

    Can someone clarify what’s happening there with the Spiderman screening? At the website, it looks like you are required to attend some sort of marketing presentation by the company beforehand.

    Just wanted to thank you for posting the Woot deal. I needed a USB2 hub for my new iPod Shuffle, and I’ve got an old 3G iPod so I can use the dock too. Perfect timing… thanks!

  7. That spiderman preview – one of the survey questions asks what best describes your company, and asks your company’s revenue: the LOWEST number you can select is “Under $10 Million per Year.” Whatever they’re doing for the presentations, they’re designed for company presidents with a LOT of money and spare time.

    You’re right, Mike. It’s known as “Contextual Advertising”. How much are you paying Ben et al for the privilege of using his site to advertise your product?

  9. Papa K says:

    @michaelw436: People wouldn’t say spam if the last three posts of yours weren’t you plugging your blog.

    @michaelw436: What Papa K said. Stop it or I will ban you.

    Spiderman 3 is dead. They sent an email this morning saying I was improperly linked from an unauthorized source and my tickets are canceled!
