Anybody have any experience with refurbished Apple products? I was holding out on getting a MacBook Pro until the new operating system was released, but $800 off seems like a good deal to me - assuming that refurbished doesn't equal crap. (I am a designer who works solely on Macs both at work and home, so "Apple is overpriced crap, buy a PC" comments are not helpful.)
We've purchased two refurbished Apple computers before, and we've been happy with both. The first was a blue & white G3 tower several years ago, and more recently a 17" G5 iMac. Refurbished systems are shipped in plain brown box, but everything is padded and packed the same way a new system would be. Neither of our systems had any cosmetic flaws, both of them worked fine, and so far they've never needed servicing.
Actually, I was all set to order a 20" refurbished iMac as my next desktop computer, until I saw the rumors about the new hardware being announced in March.

There is a $200 rebate available on the projector.
