Or just avoid the disgustingly long lines and terrible service at the post office and go to one of the pop-and-pop shipping stores. For boxes, its usually cheaper to ship UPS/FedEx through them, and its faster too.
I do all my holiday shipping at the Postal Annex near my house (though I dont think they're a huge chain).

But do they have the cutoff date for the last day of Chanukah?
