Hot Tub Dealer Sets Up "Competitive" Fair Where It's The Only Seller

Did the woman actually have a complaint about her spa? Sure, they lied to get her in the door, and that's crappy, but did she get a good spa for a good price, or did they screw her on that too? You really need to say SOMETHING about the quality of the deal they provide.
Also, I can't imagine suing the BBB is going to get any good word of mouth.
This is nothing new. Master Spas has been doing this for years all over the USA. For years, they've been noted as the "bad boys" in the spa business and not just for their one company shows either. Here's a sample: http://www.whatsthebest-hottub.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?nu...
Master Spas does this ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. This is not an isolated incident. There are plenty of quality hot tubs out there, but Master IS NOT ONE OF THEM. It's too bad,as there are some decent dealers out there that carry Master, but the company is full of thieves. Master also got into trouble for participating in the 100% rebate program (Scam!) and also hold "tent" sales all over the country. These Spas are crap. This is just another incident from a very checkered company.
I don't think it matters if the spa works or not. It's deceptive. It makes you think there will be competitive prices, or some discernible differences between the products so that you can make an informed decision. But the buyer is being deceived and that's never okay. The behavior she described is just wrong (one Master Spa employee whispers and pretends he has something better than all the others). Maybe it's legal, but that's what the BBB is for. As a consumer, I'm glad for the warning.
All the local legitimate spa and pool dealers that invest in a retail showroom and pay local taxes should out these interlopers. These types of scams hurt local businesses, and the foolish end up with a spa that nobody will service. At the end of the day, everyone that takes the advertising dollars from "Master Spas" or their dba of the "Spa, Pool & Patio Show" should be called for helping scammers like this rip their community off. Especially Locally Owned Media should say NO to these advertising dollars.
Don't get fooled by Interlopers… shop local with local service!

That's really sh!tty.
And the president of Master Spas is saying he's going to sue for defamation. Yeah, and O.J. is still looking for the real killer.
What a Jerk-off.
