Retailers Say Walmart's Early Black Friday Won't Affect Prices
Will Walmart's extremely early holiday price cuts, or "rollbacks," inspire other retailers to follow suit?
For now, the competition says no.
Target said it will, "continue to gain market share by delivering consistent merchandising excitement and compelling value to our guests."
- "Best Buy...said, "it's not just low prices people are looking for" when it comes to electronics like televisions, but also professional installation and strong service, areas where he believes his chain "has a big advantage.""
The early price cuts seem to represent a tactical retreat from the higher-end fashion markets Walmart attempted to penetrate and a return to what they knows best: cheap.

See, I hate Best Buy more than most people, but... c'mon. This level of bashing is useless.
Of course BB Corporate would say that - regardless of the end experience (or the quality of people who get hired in the end) their entire post-Walmart-world pitch has been that they perform full service sales... and no matter how bad Best Buy sucks, you have to admit they are lightyears better than the big W's electronics department.
And installation quality varies by area, as they often end up with subcontractors for things like Dishwashers, Washing machines, etc. in some areas.

Since when has BestBuy offered (and delivered) on professional installation and strong service?
