Surprise, “Cars” Toy Box Full of Lead

Cars don’t use leaded gasoline anymore, but boy, oh boy … do toy companies still use lead paint! This Disney/Pixar branded toy chest is painted with red paint that “contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.”

There are about 3,000 such toy chests out there. They were sold exclusively by Toys “R” Us. Naturally, if you have one of these suckers and you’d like junior to attend Harvard, you might want to take it away from him and bring it to any Toys “R” Us for your refund. — MEGHANN MARCO
