Thrifty, Last-Minute Costume Ideas
These cheapo and quick costumes were designed with kids in mind, but there's nothing to stop you from up-scaling these ideas to adult-sized. They come with schematics and instructions, too.
We like the "Cyber Power Princess" and the iPod player.
Our all-time favorite last-minute costume is to put a banana in your pocket. When people ask what you're supposed to be, whip it out and say, "I'm happy to see you."

I suggest: go with the great-for-last-minute, ever-popular Mr. Happy! sock/grimy raincoat combo.
Even better, try this costume out around your local elementary school. With one hand in pocket or both, it's sure to make you an attention getter. Odds good that the local constabulary will even chip in for a bright orange jumpsuit/costume for next year!
