What's up with Western Digital? Fry's has stopped carrying them completely, and now OfficeMax is blowing out inventory?
I'm worried. Consolidation in the hard disk business is inevitable, I guess, given the razor-thin margins and commodity-style pricing, but WD felt like the last brand I could trust with my bits. Personal experience is suspect I guess, but I see a lot of dead hard drives, and too many say Maxtor on the top for me to ever buy another one.
