Telecrapper 2000 Telemarketer Interception System
Sp3nc3 in the comments on another telemarketer foiling device pointed us towards the Telecrapper 2000. It's an open source software that you can install on your computer to trap telemarketers in an endless loop on your computer and then record the results. That is a nice little piece of software. It actually waits for silence after the telemarketer speaks, before it responds. This program has endless potential.
I wish I had that a few years ago when I was in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend in college. The nightly phone converstations usually conflicted with my viewing of Futurama. It would have been great to hook this program up.

Haha, when I was a "Level 2 Tech" for HP, Level 1 HP CSR techs would phone me, and i actually set up a recording like this, however it ended with "FNR" aka Format and Recovery.

Damn, I loved that show. I hope the new eps/DVD movie/freaking anything more of it comes to pass.
If this didn't involve electronics hardware work, and was just a software solution, ie, plug phone line into computer and run program, I would love it! As it is, the "How to" page shows a frankenstein device of wires and circuit boards that I don't think I could create...Awesome idea though.

Well there is a reason she is now an ex-girlfriend.
As for the new episodes, as far as I know they got the green light for a comeback season. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will return as good as it was before, but I'll take any new episodes at this point.
I cannot believe how long that woman stayed on the phone.
I don't think I would buy anything from someone who can't even decide if they like the color red.
