Dell Recalls 4.1M Exploding Laptop Batteries

An exploding truck full of bullets did it: Dell is issuing a massive recall of their laptop batteries.

4.1 million batteries will be recalled in total, what with their penchant for making like makeshift hand grenades and all. That’s 18 percent of all laptops Dell has sold from April 2004 to July 2006.

It is perhaps not coincidental that this comes at a time when laptops are being increasingly viewed as potential terrorist weapons by the FAA. Dell — the Islamic fascist’s suicide bomb of choice!

Because the article doesn’t bhave a link, if you think your laptop may be included in this recall go to: https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/Identify.aspx

This site will let you ID the battery by its serial number to see if its part of the recall.

I notice that HP said its notebooks are “not affected by the recall,” which is entirely different than saying that their notebooks don’t use the same faulty Sony battery cells.

I just have to point out that this is not necessarily a Dell issue, I wish the reporting would reflect more of the real culpruit. Sony. Once again the king of electroinc crap, Sony has made yet another defective product. This one blows up!
