Joanna Debunks Her 43 Things Not To Do At McDonald’s

A Digg user claims to have gotten in contact with Joanna via her Myspace (before it was made private) and had a conversation with her about her poor attitude. She says it was all just a lark:

it is a joke. it was meant for JUST mcdonalds employees who could relate..not actually for customers to read..

Dylan pointed out how the story had swept around the internet, hitting Fark and Digg and innumerable blogs and message boards. He suggested some sort of retraction if she wanted to preserve her job security. Joanna responded:

lmao damage control? why bother? i really dont care ..how you figure im doing damage control? you’re one person .. idk what fark . com is or any of those other sites.. i aint post them there so thats on whoever did it ;]

Ouch, Drew Curtis is going to be so pissed. Full convo inside.

Either way it ended up on the frontpage of Fark.com with the headline “A McDonald’s employee has some McRules for you” It has 428 comments about it, the story is reposted on so many differnet blog sites all across the internet and I can’t even remember how many times I’ve come across this story in the past hour. So doing damage control now? Are you going to lose your job or anything?

Just searched for it and it’s on Digg.com with 20 diggs ( basically how many people vote for your story ) you may want to put online a blog or somethign a retraction and make sure it gets out that it was a joke, because honestly if it gets on the frontpage of digg.com you are likely to lose quit a bit. Digg has millions of viewers everyday and everytime theres a story about somehting illegal on there or something similar to this theres always a followup story the next week about somehting happening.

    “43 Things McDonalds employee fired”

Why can’t people use capital letters?

  2. adamondi says:

One thing to never do at McDonalds: Eat any of their food.

Seriously, though, I have had my share of crappy fast food employees. I get sick of them within seconds of meeting them. Anyone who wants to cop a major attitude when they are making the absolute least amount of money that a company can legally pay them becomes the picture of absurdity.

Just a joke. Sure, now that the crap has been spread across the country by the giant fan of the Internet.

  3. The_Truth says:

Does anyone bother about spelling any more?

  4. RandomHookup says:

I am amused by the suggestion that one should do something to “save” a job at McDonalds.

  5. priznat says:

Nothing beats a fast food employee with an inflated sense of self importance. Amusing.

She forgot the last rule: Don’t eat at McDonalds. Ever.

  6. If she isn’t worried then why did she delete her post, her LJ blog, and make her myspace account private? Does she realize that both her name and hometown are also still up along with the list?

She either doesn’t care about keeping her job or she is dead set on remaining totally clueless.

  7. wow, this is great McDonalds image building right here.. she had better
be afraid of legal action. I worked retail for 3 years, so I understand
some of her frustrations, but some of them are absolutely ridiculous!
For one thing, those order screens you are supposed to see the total on
don’t work half the time! and if you want me to have my money out,
guess what, you had better repeat that total.

Is Joanna channeling e.e. cummings? That’s some amazing typography there – lmao but idk ;)

  9. Triteon says:

Unfortunately, without capitalization, punctuation and spelling Joanna is destined for a life working behind the counter.

  10. adamondi says:

Triteon, why in the world is that unfortunate? Joanna has abundantly shown that she has a ton of growing up to do before she should ever be allowed into any position of responsibility. Maybe it is unfortunate because customers will still have to deal with her, but if they have low enough standards to eat at McDonalds, then they can’t expect much better.

  11. Wow, what a clueless beeyotch. I totally have schadenfreude for her now.
