MPK- it’s just a larger version of what’s above.
I bought a leaf blower/vac last night at Sears and almost panicked the kid selling it to me. $6 on a $40 purchase for one extra year of coverage? My thoughts to him included:
    1) Are you saying this will break in a year?
    2) Don’t you think 15% is a bit much to spend for a year’s worth of insurance?
    3) (Old man ranting) It sure was nice when Sears built their brand by guaranteeing any Craftsman product for life…free.
    4) Oh well, if it breaks I’ll just run down to ACE Hardware and buy a new one.

We used to sell 1 year warranty’s at Circuit City on fax machines. The warranty cost more than the fax machine. And yes, I had people buy it, and not through a hard sell.
