Innocent Citizens Placed On Terrorist Watch Lists To Meet Federal Air Marshall Quotas

Federal air marshals are being encouraged to use “creative writing” when they file surveillance reports, landing law-abiding citizens on terror watch lists.

“Innocent passengers are being entered into an international intelligence database as suspicious persons, acting in a suspicious manner on an aircraft … and they did nothing wrong,” said one federal air marshal.”

If the marshals don’t file at least one Surveillance Detection Report, they’re passed over on raises, bonuses and other perks.

Individuals placed on an SDR can wind up in lists identifying them as potential terrorists threats.

Marshall, we think we spotted suspicious activity on the plane, someone was wasting a dangerous amount of tax dollars.

But here’s the thing, if everyone knows this watch list is filled with garbage, is anyone going to bother ever using it?

(Video after the link kinda worth a watch because they have their anonymous informant wearing a ski mask AND distorting his voice. Why not just throw on a Count Chocula face mask for good measure?)

Well after they’re passed over for their raise for not meeting their quota, they’ll always have a nice job waiting for them at the AOL retention center.

I’m surprised they haven’t started posting their bosses and coworkers on the list… or have they?

  3. Well, if you haven’t done anything wrong, you don’t have anything to fear…

    Right?

    Uh, guys? Right?

    Guys?

If you haven’t done anything wrong your not trying hard enough…

either that or what is legal today may be illegal tomorrow…

Why don’t they ever actually inform us of law changes?

My boss has the misfortune of sharing names with a known terrorist.

He was finally told after the 5th long series of trying to get through a baggage checkpoint at an airport…

Needless to say, he makes sure he arrives about 4 hours before flights now.

    Im on that list! Fuckers!!!!

Every single time I fly, I have to go up and check in, in person. No pre-registering (We fly a lot on SouthWest, and im not allowed to check in online).
Everytime, they take my info, everytime they say “You can put your passport away now”, every time I leave it out because they ALWAYS, need to see it.

No one will ever tell you the reason why, although I did manage to find out from one CSR that someone out there had done something bad. That was the sum total of the explanation.

No rhyme, no reason. Maybe it is to fill their quota.
