PIN Block Phish, Basted
Oh, this is just classic. Phishers are now trying to capitalize on the PIN block crisis.
- Subject: Your Credit Card was cloned and used!
From: VISA
Attention! Your VISA Credit Card has been violated!
You have received this email because we have strong reasons to believe that your VISA account had been recently compromised. In order to prevent any fraudulent activity from occurring we are required to open an investigation into this matter.
Someone from Bulgaria tried to access your personal account from 2 different ATM's but with wrong pin! We were forced to freeze your Credit Card until you will confirm your identity online!
Please click the link below and enter your account information to confirm that you are not currently away. You have 3 days to confirm account information or your account will be locked.
We need hardly mention that if you're a victim of such an attack, your credit card company is going to call you, not email you.
This is a test using rich text formatting and html links. It's the generic "company" ad that should appear on all posts with the Company category if they don't have an ad attached to a specific company.

Also, I would think all those exclamation points are kinda a dead giveaway.
"We are a serious financial institution! Your account has been breached! Please send us all of your information, just in case!"
.....I especially like the ones where they tell me my SouthTrust account has been compromised.
1. Never had an account with Southtrust.
2. It's not Southtrust anymore. Wacovia bought 'em out a while back.
3. If you get an email like that, call the 1-800 number on your card and check it out. Don't click any links!
I've decided I just don't care about people who fall for this kind of scam I think we should leave them behind, survival of the fittest not idiotic!
With all the money phishing brings in, howsacome these folks can't hire a copyeditor?
