Hey, I can see my little bitty hometown. Store #18, I think. Have some Sam Walton stories from my neighbors and roommate. I also remember leaving Arkansas in the 80's and talking to people with no concept of Wal-Mart.

Interesting. There was a big bump in new stores in 1981. There was a switch from expansion into new areas to more densely populating existing areas around 1994.
