Spam in the House of The Lord
Just received this spam from the Crusader Lending Corp. It sounds awesome. We're going to go out and re-fi our church right away.
At the bottom of the email, it has a note. Jeremiah 29:11. In the New International Version that passage reads, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
A future with a 600% vigorish, no doubt.

they should have quoted proverbs 23:7
"the rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender"
The Knights Templar (perhaps some of the most famous Crusaders of their day) were persecuted and burned at the stake 700 years ago for the very same thing this email purveys...perhaps there is some sort of DaVinci Code-esque quality to this email that we are missing?
