CUB Consumer Clinic Cures Nurse’s Ailing Cellphone Bills

Thanks to some intervention by the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) of Illinois, she got those charges wiped clean. Read more.

Check out the CUB website. They were created by the Illinois state legislature in 1983 to represent the interests of residential utility customers. They do good work.

    In California, there is a branch of the Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) called the Office of the Ratepayer Advocate (ORA), whose job it is to deal with things like this.

    You can call them on 1-800-649-7570, M-F, 09:00-15:00. They can be a little blunt, but they do know how to help.
