Stuck Pedal Leads To 135mph BMW Nightmare
BMW's probably feeling pretty conflicted about this story about a British man who crashed his Beamer.
On one hand, it doesn't speak very well for high German craftsmanship when one of your customers finds his accelerator pedal jammed and smashes into a roundabout at 135mph.
On the other hand, it speaks extremely well for high German craftsmanship that said podge-eyed, brown-toothed Brit walked away from a 135mph collision with a solid object completely uninjured.
At least the driver can be thankful he wasn't trebucheted.

That's pretty scary. I once had a Toyota with after-market cruise control go bad. The cable that controls the cruise got stuck, so it was a similar sort of problem. Fortunately, I was able to depress the clutch and downshift... (Note that the driver tried to shift into neutral, but couldn't. That must mean he was driving an automatic transmission! In Germany, in a BMW?)
