Comcast Oversold Bandwidth
Comcast oversold bandwith in Bay Area, California, resulting in speeds slower than dialup.
People kvetched in an online forum two years ago. Yesterday it got posted to the popular technology social bookmarking site Digg.
Judging by the amount of communual bitching that ensued, Comcast's service is still a problem.

i live in sf and have found my comcast cable to be crazy faster than the old dsl I had. poor unlucky bastards those who are getting dial-up speeds.
Does anyones Earthlink in the NY Metro area just drop out for no reason? I have to deal with that at home like at least 5-6 times in a matter of a few hours behind the keyboard. It'll completely drop out, with no warning and then come back on. It's a wired connection.
I can't stand Comcast. End of comment.
